Historically Bazaine held them back too long, overcautious as he was in both battles - but how would the situation in St Privat have looked like IF they'd gotten that order sooner, and reached Canrobert? That's what we have the wargaming table for... So, I'm all for painting up these beauties and fielding them in a historical scenario where the French player rolls to see Bazaine will act or not...Black Powderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04811405795071310375noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6435533278284919252.post-42377837811155794252015-04-29T21:03:15.748+00:002015-04-29T21:03:15.748+00:00Cheers lads; yep it has to be said that I can see ...Cheers lads; yep it has to be said that I can see them standing serenely in reserve and quietly marching off the table when the going gets rough!<br />Dave.Dave Huntley (sheepman)https://www.blogger.com/profile/14728830987896678578noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6435533278284919252.post-60898552100970141282015-04-29T19:03:58.839+00:002015-04-29T19:03:58.839+00:00great work Dave and yes it's always worth pain...great work Dave and yes it's always worth painting colourful units even if they aren't used muchNeil Scotthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05796937765907984193noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6435533278284919252.post-63119040789785298972015-04-29T18:59:21.414+00:002015-04-29T18:59:21.414+00:00Wow, most impressive troops, well done Dave!Wow, most impressive troops, well done Dave!Philhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08913029478686087197noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6435533278284919252.post-37232790485806978732015-04-29T18:36:56.745+00:002015-04-29T18:36:56.745+00:00Of course you must have the Guard but it would be ...Of course you must have the Guard but it would be bad form to use them in battle!Strykerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14258922461691204362noreply@blogger.com
