An Austrian reserve.

A few more figures to add to the 15mm Austrian Napoleonics. This will give them a solid reserve to roll through the French ogres forces once the disciplined volleys of our solid line infantry have worn them down (who am I kidding eh!).
The two 36 figure battalions on the flanks are Essex, cast flags therefore hand painted, nightmare! the battalion in the middle is composed from spare figures lying around in a box. I've tarted them up and they still look crap but you should have seen them before. They will do to make up the brigade though.

That's it for now.

  2. Great look Austrians. What a shame the Emperor will be forced to crush them as usual. :-)

  3. Thanks lads, in the past using General De Brigade rules we have tended to keep the standard ratings of generals and brigadiers the same for both sides, I think for the next game we will have to give the French the edge in this area and see how this affects the battle.
Is there anyone out there who uses G de B who is a bit dissatisfied with the skirmish rules, I find them a bit ineffective but on the other hand don't want them to be all powerful, any thoughts?

  6. Looking at the two headed eagle on the Austrian flag, I now see that it looks like that f'n bird off Rod Hull and the Emu from years back!
