Welcome

Welcome to my wargaming blog,
I'm Dave and live in Morpeth, Northumberland in the UK.
This may or may not be a regular thing, we'll just have to see how it goes.

I am a painter/collector of figures first and a wargamer second. My thrill in this great hobby of ours is to place that final well researched & painted unit into the cabinet. The actual gaming with the figures is an important but secondary experience, we all like to win, but it isn't the be all and end all of it, being with good friends and having fun is.
Hope you will enjoy reading this blog as much as I will writing in it.
Just to remind the visitor to scroll down the various pages and click on 'older posts' to see more.
Dave.

28mm Fusilier Chasseurs

Back to normal!
A newly painted unit of French Middle Guard, Fusilier Chasseurs to be precise:

The figures are Elite Miniatures (nice with plenty of movement) and the flag was hand painted. you can by great flags much better than anything I can do but I quite enjoy doing them and after all enjoyment is what it's all about,
I intend to paint up another two companies of troops in skirmish order to accompany both these and the Fusilier Grenadiers I did earlier this year.

  1. Great ! I really like your command base, its shape, by itself, is telling "En avant!"...Great paintjob and flag!

  4. Roger, very kind.
Andy, I don't have loads of later Naps in 28mm, 3 battalions of Brits, 3 French Guard units (including this one) some cavalry for both sides and a French battery. More to paint but I do them when I fancy it. In the mean time if you or one of the TWATS have some then we'll go for it no prob.
