Been a while since I posted. To be honest photographing and writing up such a large 10mm Napoleonic game in the last post is time consuming and put me off for a while, but it being Xmas and all that I thought I'd better do a catch up.

I did paint up a third 28mm Napoleonic French battalion but I guess plenty of those have been put on here before so maybe another time.
Well a very Merry Christmas to anyone out there, it's an odd sort of world we are in at the moment and wargaming isn't the most important thing, but it does provide a little bit of pleasure, so what's the harm.

An update for the 10mm ECW figures I have been doing.
King and Parliament has some units equipped with attached light guns, given my small unit footfall and the fact that the units had to fit comfortably onto a 10cm hex grid system it would have been impractical to use 10mm figures to represent these attached artillery pieces. I therefore sent to Baccus for their 6mm figures and mounted them on a separate round base so that they could be used as representations of the guns. They fit in well and yet the size difference between the two figure scales shows that this is a marker which can be added to the unit as required.

I have a couple of weeks holiday coming up soon so I intend to get all of my fairly considerable 10mm French and Russian 1812 armies out and onto the table top for a good sized General de Armee game so keep an eye out for that report later next month.

Don't worry Mick I'm getting on with it!
One of the club lads have been waiting patiently for me to pull my finger out and get on with some more 10mm ECW (Edgehill) troops. To be fair the 10mm Napoleonic's have had priority to get them finished but that's just an excuse really, so, as I said, Mick, here are some at least.
The cavalry will complete a brigade each for the King's side and parliament while the dragoons give one rgt to the parliamentarians and two to the King. Dragoons of course are the usual pain in the bum as you need mounted and dismounted. I could do with horse holders but as nobody seems to do them in 10mm I will have to convert some ACW Pendraken to do the job.

We intend to have a practice game of the For King and Parliament rules at the club Here next month and I kind of said I'd get a few more units done to complement Mick's 10mm collection. Well Mick, it may not happen as I'm up to the eyes with 10mm Napoleonic's at the moment but I thought I would put a few pictures of what ECW stuff I'd done so far.

I popped into the club Border Reivers Wargames Society just before Xmas and Mick Boddy shamed me into getting back to my 10mm ECW stuff for For King and Parliament as he showed me about ten regiments that he has got done. To be fair I have been progressing with 10mm 1812, Russian Jager to be precise, then Xmas, then covid. The list goes on doesn't it.

Though frankly a pain in the arse getting pinged by the NHS app does give you time to paint figures though other than that I am going a tad stir crazy, thank god for the football, so far at least!
Started with the ECW 10mm horse for both sides, as you see I mixed headwear and little or no uniform for the Edghill period. The flags are my own invention so anything goes, I love this period. Figures are Pendraken.

Another 10mm ECW unit plus a couple of light guns to accompany the regiments into battle, this time its Lord Brooke's battalia, a 'large' unit.
I didn't intend to get these done but had to wait for those 28mm British to arrive. They have now so on with them next though obviously it may take me a bit longer to complete the 28's than our other minuscule friends!
