Welcome to my wargaming blog,
I'm Dave and live in Morpeth, Northumberland in the UK.
This may or may not be a regular thing, we'll just have to see how it goes.

I am a painter/collector of figures first and a wargamer second. My thrill in this great hobby of ours is to place that final well researched & painted unit into the cabinet. The actual gaming with the figures is an important but secondary experience, we all like to win, but it isn't the be all and end all of it, being with good friends and having fun is.
Hope you will enjoy reading this blog as much as I will writing in it.
Just to remind the visitor to scroll down the various pages and click on 'older posts' to see more.

Moving house.

Moving about three miles to a slightly smaller house but which will have an upperfloor room dedicated purely to wargaming. Can't wait to be in but the move, packing etc is doing my nappa in! You don't half collect some stack of shite over the years so trips to the tip are a regular occorance.
Never mind I did get some painting in, 10mm Russian Naps for Blucher, so when I get a minuite I'll get pics on here as I'm pretty pleased with the result.
So that's the reason for nothing much appearing on the blog. When my head stops spinning like that lass off the Exorsist I will be ok. I'm sure things will eventually get back to normal.

  1. When we last moved we got a skip. We filled it up and more and still had to go to the tip. Now we've even more crap and the thought of moving again brings on nightmares.
The thoughts of myself and my present wife are with you and the missus at this time.

  2. Been there done that and I had to move all the stock too ! Not doing it again Too many valuble books for a start and soldiers- less than I had when I last moved
